Amour Fou

Amour Fou is a piece about longing. An obsessive quest for that ideal, drunken love full of tender submission and uncensored excitement. That ecstatic feeling which, sadly enough, is nearly always accompanied by the eternal fear of losing whatever you might find. Amour Fou is a slalom around disappointments, in pursuit of love.

The title piece, Amour Fou, makes up a double bill with the choreography am I out? This piece was created in 2001 for the Russian modern dance company Provincial Dances Theatre (PDT) and has not yet been performed in Holland. In 2001, PDT received the highest Russian theatre prize, the Golden Mask Award, in the category of modern dance.
